    The Challenge

    GE Appliances (GEA) is looking for an Order Management Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for business to business (B2B) support by taking inbound calls, processing orders, providing order status and price information.

    These positions will be located at the Forum in Louisville, KY. There will be an opportunity to move to permanent work from home based on performance and attendance during the first 4-5 months.

    GE Appliances (GEA) is looking for an Order Management Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for business to business (B2B) support by taking inbound calls, processing orders, providing order status and price information.

    Responsibilities:

    • Researches and analyzes data to address operational challenges and customer service issues.

    • Provides external and internal customers with requested information.

    • Uses computerized systems for tracking, information gathering and troubleshooting.

    • Responding efficiently and accurately to callers, explaining possible solutions, and ensuring that clients feel supported and valued.

    • Engaging in active listening with callers, confirming or clarifying information and diffusing angry clients, as needed.

    • Provide customer information on product availability, delivery, billing, and finance processes.

    • Process requests for sales literature, product features and specifications.

    What you need to Succeed

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

    • Self-motivated with excellent attendance record

    • Strong computer skills, proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to manage multiple web-based applications at one time

    • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills

    • Flexibility with work schedule.  Due to multiple shift draws per year, candidates must be available to work all shifts M-F between the hours of 7:30am - 8:30pm EST as needed

    Preferred:

    • At least one-year prior experience in a phone-based customer service role

    • Knowledge of GE Appliances’ models and features a plus

    The starting salary for this position is non-negotiable at $15.38/hr.

    Ergonomic Information

    This position requires the employee wear headphones connected to computer for 8 hours each day, typically seated at a desk.  They are answering inbound calls and inputting/typing orders into a computer system, so use of computer, keyboard, and mouse are extensive.   Employees have a 30 minute lunch break as well as a 15 minute AM and 15 minute PM break.  The AM and PM breaks can be taken as a full 15 minutes or broken up into shorter breaks (for example, three 5 minute breaks.)
