    Customs Compliance Analyst - TCRS4568

     

    HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW

    The Customs Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that customs brokerage activities comply with U.S. Customs regulations and trade laws. This position merges auditing, data analysis, and systems expertise to identify potential risks, address discrepancies, and uphold precise entry filings. Additionally, the analyst contributes to enhancing processes and strengthening internal controls within customs brokerage operations.

    This is a REMOTE position.

     

    EXPECTATIONS

    • Ensure compliance with U.S. government regulatory agencies (CBP, FDA, EPA, USFWS, etc.)
    • Perform audits of customs entries and brokerage activities
    • Examine import data to identify trends, risks, and discrepancies to reduce compliance exposure
    • Utilize systems and data (ACE, ABI) to confirm accurate filings, address errors, and enhance workflows
    • Create reporting tools and dashboards for leaders to assist in oversight activities
    • Leverage technology and data to streamline processes and improve efficiency
    • Offer suggestions for process improvement and technology enhancements
    • Partner with IT, operations and compliance teams to implement systematic compliance controls
    • Stay up to date on regulations, guidelines, and company requirements

     

    ESSENTIALS

    • Licensed Customs Broker required
    • 2-4 years of experience in trade compliance and brokerage
    • High school diploma/GED required, degree preferred
    • Knowledge of import entry process with CBP and other government agencies
    • Solid understanding with HTS Classification, Country of Origin, FTA, Valuation methods, and AD/CVD
    • Excellent auditing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Proficient in MS Office; including Excel and Access
    • Adept as using business intelligence and SQL to analyze compliance data to help make decisions
    • Familiar with trade compliance software; UMUS, e2open, ABI, ACE, etc.
