  • Responsibilities

    The Customs Compliance Technician will support the company’s operational compliance activities within the company's spare parts business, actively contributing to the achievement of corporate objectives and ensuring regulatory compliance. They will work closely with our Customs Advisor and Warehouse team.

     

    Requirements:

    • 5 years’ experience in US foreign trade, import/export compliance, and/or customs brokerage
    • The following certifications are a plus: NCBFAA Educational Institute's Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) Certification (import) and/or CES Certified (Customs Export Specialist certification)
    • HTS classification experience is mandatory (to be able to classify a variety of products accurately, aircraft parts classification experience preferred)
    • Experience with Hazmat/DG (DG certified a plus)
    • Experience in the distribution warehouse and the aftermarket aerospace industry is a plus
    • Experience using SAP is a plus
    • A customs compliance mindset is mandatory
    • Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, partners, and departments.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot and propose solutions.
    • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
    • Analytical skills with high attention to detail
    • Working knowledge of various computer skills necessary to operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, and web-based applications
    • Required to be on-site, in the office 5 days per week
    • Fluent in English - reading, writing, speaking
