About the Role:

Richard G Fleischer Jr is looking for a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in international trade compliance, ensuring smooth and accurate customs clearance for our clients. Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit customs entry documentation in compliance with CBP regulations

Classify imported goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)

Coordinate with importers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate cargo release

Review commercial invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists for accuracy

Monitor and resolve customs holds, exams, and compliance issues

Maintain accurate records and entry files in accordance with recordkeeping requirements

Communicate entry status updates to clients in a timely manner

Requirements:

Prior experience as a Customs Entry Writer or in a customs brokerage environment

Working knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, and trade compliance

Familiarity with customs entry software and ABI/ACE filing systems

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple entries simultaneously

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Licensed Customs Broker designation is a plus

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment

Experience with Cargo Wise
