    Cranberry Marsh Manager Position in City Point, WI, USWe are currently looking for a Cranberry Marsh Manager to oversee the operations of our cranberry farm in City Point, WI. This role requires a dedicated individual who can efficiently manage day-to-day activities, optimize crop yield, and implement effective farming practices. Responsibilities include coordinating harvesting schedules, overseeing irrigation systems, and maintaining equipment.Salary will be based on experience and is negotiable. Responsibilities: • Team Leadership: You will lead a team of field workers, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure efficient and effective marsh operations. This includes managing work schedules, assigning tasks, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. • Crop Production: You will be responsible for coordinating and executing all activities related to cranberry crop production. This includes managing planting schedules, implementing fertilization and pest control strategies, and monitoring crop health throughout the growing season through harvest. • Land Management: As the Marsh Manager, you will oversee all aspects of land management, with a specific focus on cranberry production and environmental stewardship. This includes monitoring water levels, implementing irrigation systems, and coordinating pest and disease control measures to ensure optimal cranberry growth and health. • Water Resource Management: The Marsh Manager plays a crucial role in managing water resources for cranberry production. You will oversee irrigation systems, frost management, monitor water quality, and implement sustainable water management practices to ensure the long-term health and viability of the marsh. • Regulatory Compliance: The Marsh Manager will ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and permits. You will maintain accurate records, submit required reports, and stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes in the field of environmental and agricultural management. Qualifications: • Excellent leadership and team management skills. • Previous experience in cranberry or agricultural management is highly desirable. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Valid driver's license and the ability to operate machinery and equipment related to cranberry production. • Strong knowledge of cranberry production techniques and practices. • Familiarity with water resource management, irrigation systems, and pest/disease control in agriculture. Compensation: $40 hourly
