Job Description

The WAREHOUSE PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE is an integral member of the warehouse team reporting to the Production Manager. The Warehouse Production Associate will assist in breaking down pallets of kiln dried firewood and will implement Quality Assurance measures to ensure products meet the highest quality determined by Cutting Edge Firewood Leadership. Based on the inspection, the Warehouse Production Associate will categorize the wood into the different product lines (species, cooking woods, firewood racks, etc). A miter saw and splitters will be used by the Warehouse Production Associate to cut the wood and prepare them for delivery to Customers.

HOURLY RATE RANGE: $16.00 - $19.00, PLUS OVERTIME AVAILABILITY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

• Receiving raw materials (firewood)

• Quality Control (ensuring that products meet quality standards)

• Use miter saw and wood splitter to process firewood (training provided)

• Storing finished goods

• Loading and unloading products

• Daily use of hand trucks and pallet jacks

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS OF A CUTTING EDGE FIREWOOD TEAM MEMBER:

• Alignment with Cutting Edge Firewood core values

• Flexible schedule during busy seasons

• Previous warehouse experience 

• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment  

• Ability to safely operate miter saw and splitter (training provided)

• Capacity to maintain attention to details despite interruptions

• Ability to move equipment and products weighing over 100 lbs

• A background check and drug test

• Must provide documentation, proving you can legally work in the United States

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual (English & Spanish) - NOT REQUIRED

• Ability to operate a forklift - NOT REQUIRED
