DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Network-Based Systems Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Assisting Government lead with coordinating teams in preliminary incident response investigations
• Assisting Government lead with interfacing with the customer while onsite
• Determining appropriate courses of action in response to identified and analyzed anomalous network activity
• Assessing network topology and device configurations identifying critical security concerns, and providing security best practice recommendations
• Assisting with the writing and publishing of Computer Network Defense (CND) guidance and reports on incident findings to appropriate constituencies
• Serving as a technical expert and liaison to intra-organizational components and leadership

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • For continued employment, the selected candidate must obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated DHS background investigation
• High school diploma with 7-9 years related experience; or an undergraduate degree in Computer Science (or related discipline) with 5-7 years of related experience
• Knowledge of CND policies, procedures, and regulations
• Knowledge of defense-in-depth principles and general attack stages with respect to network security architecture
• Knowledge of network device integrity concepts and methodologies
• Ability to identify and analyze anomalies in network traffic using metadata
• Ability to reconstruct a malicious attack or activity based on network traffic
• Ability to examine network topologies to understand data flows through the network
• Skill in preserving evidence integrity according to standard operating procedures or national standards

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• DHS suitability at the SCI level
