Summary: The Cybersecurity Analyst supports the cybersecurity and operational readiness by conducting Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA), implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and monitoring cyber threats. This role ensures the IT systems remain secure and compliant with Department of Defense (DoD) standards, supporting global mission sets.
Responsibilities:
Test and analyze all applicable STIGs to ensure compliance
Schedule and implement STIGs across Wing IT systems
Monitor and execute quarterly STIG revalidation schedules
Track emerging changes to STIGs outside quarterly schedules
Support cybersecurity meetings by preparing briefings, facilitating collaboration with stakeholders, and presenting updates to Wing leadership
Monitor cybersecurity risks and threats to the Wing’s cyber environment
Assist in developing implementation plans for transitioning systems to a cloud environment.
Document meeting minutes and track action items.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated relevant experience in Air Force or industry standards for cybersecurity and system accreditation, or equivalent experience with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security standards (PWS 2.1.1).
Expertise in Endpoint Security
Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) in Threat Hunting and Risk Analysis, Intrusion Detection Systems, and DISA STIGs (PWS 2.1.1.1–2.1.1.5)
U.S. citizenship and a minimum Secret security clearance.
Completion of annual training, including Cyber Awareness, Security Administration, Derivative, Unauthorized Disclosure, Anti-terrorist, OPSEC, and safety training.
Desired Skills:
Advanced certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+).
Experience with DoD cloud security frameworks.
Strong briefing and presentation skills for engaging Wing leadership.
Proficiency in threat intelligence analysis and incident response.
