    JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

    Delta Utilities is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect, a strategic and technical leadership role responsible for defining, developing, and driving the cybersecurity strategy and roadmap for the organization. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats. The role requires close collaboration with IT architects, business stakeholders, and an outsourced managed services provider to ensure a secure and resilient technology environment.

    ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Lead the development and execution of the organization’s cybersecurity strategy and roadmap.

    • Define and maintain the cybersecurity architecture aligned with enterprise architecture principles.

    • Provide technical oversight and guidance for Identity and Access Management (IAM), Security Operations, Security Engineering, and Cloud Security.

    • Collaborate with IT architects and business leaders to integrate security into enterprise solutions and digital transformation initiatives.

    • Serve as a key liaison with the organization’s managed services provider to ensure effective security operations and incident response.

    • Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and practices to enhance the organization’s security posture.

    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., TSA Pipeline Security Guidelines, NIST).

    • Support risk assessments, audits, and security reviews across IT and OT environments.

    • Develop and maintain security architecture documentation, standards, and policies.

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to security and IT teams on secure design and implementation practices.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum education required of the position

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, having 4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity is required.

    Minimum experience required of the position

    • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a cybersecurity architecture or leadership role.

    Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities preferred of the position

    • Experience working in highly regulated and complex environments, preferably in the energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure sectors.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.

    • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.

    • Experience with Zero Trust Architecture and secure cloud transformation initiatives.

    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the natural gas or energy sector.

    Any certificates, licenses, etc. preferred for the position

    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

    • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

    • AWS/Azure/OCI Security Certifications

    • TOGAF or other enterprise architecture certifications
