Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Type: 6-Month Contract (Potential pathway to permanent)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract with the potential to convert to a permanent role. In this position, you will serve as our primary in-house technical resource dedicated to reactive engineering, working alongside our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider to keep our infrastructure secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage reactive cybersecurity engineering tasks across North America operations.

• Partner closely with our MDR provider to handle, resolve, and remediate escalated security alerts.

• Fill critical engineering coverage gaps across key technical systems and workflows.

• Support long-term security posture improvements while maintaining daily system reliability.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering and threat remediation.

• Experience working alongside third-party MDR or MSSP vendors.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for handling reactive engineering incidents.

• Ability to work independently in a 100% remote setting.
