    **Technical & Cybersecurity Training Specialist
    DC Region (Currently Remote) | Full-time **

We are looking for a Technical & Cybersecurity Training Specialist to support an enterprise cybersecurity and privacy program.

    Responsibilities
    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Develop and teach in-depth and hands-on technical courses implementing and enforcing U.S. Government information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies. Topics may include: NIST Security and Privacy Controls, Risk Management Framework, Cybersecurity Framework, and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties and responsibilities.
    • Collaborates across technical teams identifying and developing training topics and materials.
    • Develops and delivers enterprise-wide cybersecurity and privacy protection Awareness training topics such as phishing safeguards, social engineering, cyber hygiene, and insider threat.
    • Evaluates training deliveries, continually improving performance.
    • Support training team in reporting and other program administrative support.

    Qualifications

    • Must be a US citizen and be able to receive a Public Trust.

    • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to translate technical concepts, practices, and policies into impactful, simple to understand learning topics.

    • Proactive and creative approach to solving problems and when developing training and communication materials.

    • Develop/deliver training materials designed with a basis in adult learning methodologies.

    • Strong visual design skills to support clear and impactful presentations and training materials.

    • Detail-oriented and dedicated to upholding established governance and quality standards.

    • Must have excellent written and presentation skills.

    • Must be located in DC-region.

    Knowledge & Experience

    • Experience performing ISSO and/or Information System Security Manager (ISSM) duties.
    • Detailed knowledge of NIST publications addressing information system security and privacy protection, and related federal government authorities (e.g., FISMA, Executive Orders).
    • Experience successfully implementing training projects within a U.S. federal government agency or similarly large organization with a diverse and matrixed organization.
    • Project management experience resulting in on-schedule performance; project reporting to keep stakeholders informed.
