    Cybrex is in the process of bidding a new Cyber/IT Services Proposal and is sourcing for potential staff. This position is one of many where we are accepting applications, doing interviews and making contingent employment offers with negotiated salary amounts. Upon a win the Contingent offer would become a permanent offer at the previously agreed upon salary. Positions are located in the Hampton Roads area and would follow the particular bases COVID protocols which might mean working remotely or on-site. It could also mean that at some time in the future any remote work would move to the activity you would be supporting. In several of these positions there are multiple experience levels required, which are noted below with any educational or experience requirements so please review position descriptions carefully, many positions will require certification under the Cyber Security Work Force (CSWF) program certification criteria specified in DoD 8570.01-M, in some cases they are noted in the position description in others the government has not yet made that determination, once known this information will be communicated to selected candidates, it would be safe to assume that at a minimum an IAT (Information Assurance Technical) Level II certification as specified in DoD 8570.01-M would be required: Database Administration Manager - Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. May lead and direct the work of others. Performs one or more of the following tasks in support of computer database administration: architects, designs, oversee the development of, or administers computerized databases, installs the applicable databases onto the appropriate computer operating systems, creates databases, configure databases (for a data warehousing application), use import utilities to install databases. Includes creation of Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, Views, and other database objects, as well as, management of Rollback Segments, Data File Size, and all the other aspects related to the performance tuning of databases. Write code for update queries, update data dictionaries as new fields are added to the database, and maintain a data correction log. Create and maintain data correction logs that identify the date the correction that was performed, tables and fields effected, submission effected, error code effected, and other pertinent metadata. Expand and update the data dictionary for the database and any related applications.

    Database Administration Manager (Lead)- Bachelor's Degree in Business or STEM or related area and 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area within DoD/Navy programs. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks. May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. May lead and direct the work of others. Under general direction, implements, monitors, and reorganizes databases, codes, tests, implements, and maintains database architectures. Executes utility requirements such as reorganization, back-up and recovery. Analyzes and resolves database system production problems. Analyzes user requirements and statistics, and participates in database design and performance evaluation reviews. Advises systems engineers on database coding issues. Prepares system documentation. May be involved in the data modeling process. Database management personnel must have a position designation of IT-1, which requires the following in accordance with SECNAVINST M-5510.30 and DODINST 8500.2. Must be able to obtain a favorably-adjusted SSBI or SSBI-PR updated within the past 5 years. Must meet IAT (Information Assurance Technical) Level II certification criteria specified in DoD 8570.01-M.
