Job Description

The Cycle Counter is responsible for ensuring a high level of accuracy of inventory levels on campus by performing cycle counts daily, weekly and quarterly, and resolving any and all discrepancies in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity of the physical count of the in-house inventory via cycle counting
• Execution of the Inventory cycle count per the Inventory Cycle Count Schedule
• Segregating parts with visual signs of damage or deterioration
• Documenting on specified Business Unit inventory cycle count work sheet the results of the count and identifying the counts that exceed their established discrepancy tolerances
• Re-count all parts that are out of tolerance
• Ability to effectively communicate with two-way radio
• Overtime is required to meet production demands and can include Saturdays and Sundays when necessary
• Other duties as directed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of distribution center experience
• 1+ years of experience in cycle counting
• Must be available to work Monday through Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be able to work with numbers (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
• Familiarity with operating systems (SAP) is preferred
• Must be able to work with numbers (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
• Ability to accurately count product and convert counts into meters, feet, etc.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office software is a plus
