About the Role:

Join Southern Welders Supply as a Cylinder Handler, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of gas cylinders. With a focus on safety and quality, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our dedicated team in Orangeburg, SC.

Responsibilities:

Safely load and unload gas cylinders from trucks and storage areas.

Inspect cylinders for damage and ensure proper labeling and documentation.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards.

Assist in inventory management and tracking of cylinder stock levels.

Operate forklifts and other equipment to move cylinders as needed.

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment.

Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to management.

Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in warehouse or industrial settings is a plus.

Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks safely.

Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.

Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime if needed.

Basic computer skills for inventory management tasks.
