JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Inside Sales Associate will be responsible for generating and supporting sales of Critical Care products through office-based activities.
- Support sales of products and services by cold calling select accounts and managing backorders, and influencing sales using data and problem-solving.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use account history and situational/sales data to manage proposals by suggesting pricing, products, trade offers, and equipment placement options to customers and external sales representatives.
- Develop quoting strategies for customer offers while maintaining compliance with GPO contracts, the Sunshine Act, the client's financial system capabilities, and corporate policy.
- Generate unique quote proposals and/or modify existing proposals.
- Follow up with customers to understand the status of capital approvals and budget availability.
- Schedule calls and document activities in CRM (Saleforce.com).
- Communicate with external representatives, make counter-proposals as needed.
- Manage the process to provide all equipment and accessories to begin product evaluations at customer sites within corporate Compliance guidelines.
- Provide appropriate components and accessories, complete spec request documentation, and communicate issues and status.
- Facilitate the creation of all compliance documentation, communicate product descriptions, interfacing options, payment options, and equipment placing alternatives.
- Review backorders (daily), work with Planners to provide info for alternatives, review customer usage (monthly) to determine changes in usage or competitive threats, take appropriate actions to protect the business.
- Identify targets for DPT conversions, review contracts for compliance, make cold calls to initiate conversions, and manage conversions by aligning all required resources and product needs.
- Review and approve incoming purchase orders then execute as needed following strict standard operating plans policy requirements.
- Enter all service contract purchase orders and tie all service contracts to specific serialized equipment in JDE system.
- Close transactions by confirming that customers are satisfied with the execution of purchase-including at account levels, processing trade-in product, processing credits as needed, tracking orders, arranging in-servicing, working with Contracts team to document changes, following up on rentals, correcting warehouse errors, fully documenting all activities.
SKILLS:
- Ability to quickly learn use and understand the product portfolio and complex computer systems at an expert level to be able to fully understand target accounts and customize offers.
- Outstanding communication skills in both oral and written forms to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels including clinicians, hospital directors, and internal management.
- Ability to address clients’ errors and recover from negative situations to a positive outcome for customers seeking to purchase products.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- This job requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of relevant medical or pharmaceutical sales experience is preferred.
- Must have strong analytical skills.
- Experience in selling, promoting, and presenting (in written and oral form) medical products.
