Cyntech is a rapidly growing helical pile manufacturer located in Plantersville,TX, that is looking to add an additional Field Equipment Technician to its team. As a Field Equipment Technician for Cyntech the following skills are required:
- Understanding of the AWS regulations and requirements, and enforcing those requirements
- Ability to interpret drawings, IWR and identify part numbers.
- Must have strong mechanical skills when tearing down and rebuilding gear box and other required parts replacement is needed.
- Maintain and/or Troubleshoot All field equipment if issues arise and must be capable to fix them including actuators.
- Must have the capability to perform any fit up or welding process for all the Cyntech product line regarding motors.
- Must have a strong fabrication skill set (hole layout, critical measurement, and weld sequence)
- Must be able to read all required measuring devices (tape measure, calipers, fillet gauges and UT instrument etc.)
- Must be capable or procuring parts and managing inventory (Hydraulic supplies/ manage inventory of Hydraulic, flange fasteners, tooling, pins, and any other required materials)
- Maintain and manage all tools and equipment associated to the Field Equipment department.
- Verify motor is in good working condition with a “Bench Test” before shipments have been made.
- Pass Background check and random drug screens.
- Population of daily Production Tickets is a must, along with recording QC information throughout the day.
- Raise attention to any misinformation found on drawings & IWRs when found.
- Aid in the shipping & receiving process including banding and packaging when dealing with motors and components.
- Demonstrate proper housekeeping in all aspects of the work area both in the shop and in the field.
- Willingness to complete certification for equipment usage when requested (OH Crane, forklift etc.)

- Show up on time for every shift and give proper notice if you are unable to attend your shift.
- Available to work overtime as necessary.
- Employee must be willing to weld with the production team when motor work is not required.
- Perform basic computer tasks (Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Teams, Slack, Monday, Outlook & Cyntelex)
- Capable of assessing and troubleshooting issues in the field via communication with our clients and motor manufacturers
- Sound knowledge of all drive motor makes and models within the Cyntech fleet and other industry favored motors.
- Manage and monitor all equipment and tool calibration. Have all equipment and tools current with their calibration requirements and use proper data management and filing systems for the tracking of the calibration records.
- Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.
- Tie workflow to schedule
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Operate all company vehicles/ forklifts in a safely manner.
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols.
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
- Build positive relationships with customers.
- Setup and preform load tests.
- Be able to make on the fly decisions to get the client up and running.
Additionally, Our Physical Requirements PPE and Work Environment
- Employee’s must be willing to work in a team environment and in an individual environment.
- Working conditions will expose the employee to noise, dust, vibrations, temperature shifts, heat, flames/sparks, and occasional dim lighting conditions.
- Cold weather - snow/cold temperatures will be experienced in the winter months.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends occasionally.
- Need to have the ability to sit, stand, kneel, and crouch for a duration of time.
- Must be able to push, pull, reach above shoulder height, grasp, and bend at the waist repeatedly.
- Employee must have to be capable of lifting and carrying 50lbs.
- All employees will treat/use Cyntech property (equipment, machinery, and tools) in a proper manner suited to manufacturers recommendations and according to Cyntech Group Policies
- All employees must wear CSA safety glasses, CSA steel toe boots, CSA hard hat, hearing protection & high visibility clothing. In addition, while welding, respirators and welding protection must be used.
