    PRODUCT DESIGNER, SPORTS BETTING

     

    ROLE DETAILS:

    • We are looking for a talented Product Designer to be the driving force behind the strategy and evolution of our new Sportsline Experiences. Sportsline, a division of Sports Digital, is a unique opportunity to work on premium content and tools for fantasy, DFS, and gambling fans. Sportsline features include in-depth analysis, expert picks, DFS players pools, the industry’s top models, player rankings, and odds across major pro/college sports.
    • The right candidate is passionate about data-rich experiences, working on emerging products, and leading core product growth opportunities. They will work closely with our customer service and research teams to understand our customers' needs. While weighing those against the business goals to deliver exceptional experiences.

    • You will report to Sr. Design Director with your team being distributed across NYC and Nashville. You must be a self-motivator, full of enthusiasm, a desire to learn and have a fine eye for detail.

We believe in robust design systems and continually iterate our collective design DNA. User research is at the center of everything we push and work tirelessly to expand our customer understanding.

    COUPLE OF EXCITING THINGS WE’RE WORKING ON:

    • Playbook Design Systems. The rollout of our new design system across all products and platforms. 
    • Launching new and inspiring Connected TV experiences for the sports streaming age.
    • Overhaul of our Sports iOS and Android Apps. 
    • Personalized sports video tools. 
    • Sports Projection tools for DFS and Picks.
    • Design partnerships with Apple, Google, Roku, and Amazon on large-scale projects. Shh!
    • Fantasy games at scale!

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

      Your-Day-to-Day:

    • Rapidly produce multiple solutions, from sketches, wireframes, and user flows to high-fidelity mockups and prototypes, depending on the level of detail needed to present and communicate proposed solutions and interaction flows that will resonate with our target audience.
    • Validate your design explorations with data, be it qualitative, quantitative, or both. 
    • Maintain and evolve a scalable design system.
    • Present your work to various stakeholders, explaining your creative process and how your final design aligns with the product goals.
    • Provide specs, interactive prototypes, and design requirements to developers.

      Your Projects:

    • Overhaul current navigation to better support new business initiatives.
    • Optimize first-time customer experience and onboarding flows. 
    • Refine and Rework Futures and Props experiences. 
    • Overhaul major events pages around Super Bowl, March Madness, and more. 
    • Work closely with the design systems team to redesign Sportsline.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3+ years of Product Design experience working on consumer-facing products.
    • A portfolio of case studies that demonstrate a thoughtful, user-centered approach to product design.
    • Fluency in industry-standard tools such as Figma or Sketch.
    • Strong understanding of UX best practices. 
    • Strong beliefs, loosely held, with a willingness to defend your design decisions yet also have your opinion changed.
    • The ability to give and receive candid and constructive feedback.
    • Strong visual design sense, clean command over interaction design, typography, and usability.
    • You can communicate design decisions clearly and effectively across all functions and levels.
    • Experience collaborating, iterating, and testing with Product and Engineering to discover the solutions that exceed user expectations.
