Title: Senior Track Engineer

Location: San Francisco, CA

Duration: Longtetrm Contract

Job Description:

1. Prepare calculations, plans, and specifications to support track design and analysis using relevant design criteria, codes, and standards for new and rehabilitation type projects.

2. Perform site inspections during construction and maintenance projects to determine if they are within tolerance levels established by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and other applicable regulations.

3. Assist with review drawings, construction cost estimates, specifications, technical reports and other contract documents.

4. Provide technical guidance to Project Manager(s) and other projects as required by responding to RFI, construction submittal and site-specific work plan.

5. Update railroad track-related engineering standards.

6. Develop, review, and provide technical input for capital and maintenance projects for compliance and cost effectiveness of the design.

7. Provide 24/7 on-call construction and maintenance support.

8. Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a safe manner to protect oneself, fellow employees and the public from injury or harm. Promote safety awareness and follow safety procedures in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents.
