    Here's a closer look at this key role:

    As a Release Train Engineer (RTE) at Cytracom, you will serve as the driving force between Product, Engineering, and QA to ensure successful delivery of Cytracom's cutting edge, customer-centric software solutions! 

    We are looking for an experienced, certified Release Train Engineer who will own and drive our Agile development methodology focused on predictable, quality delivery. The right person will be a change agent and champion for process improvement, coaching our teams to deliver business value in a highly collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities:

    • The RTE will be a facilitator and servant leader, who will own, mentor and coach their teams through the adoption of Agile/Scrum practices, at a pace that is sustainable to the organization.
    • Serve as a Scrum Master for one or more teams, while working to help recruit, manage and grow the role in the organization. When necessary, organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, reviews, estimation, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos, burndown tracking and other Scrum-related meetings.
    • Establish and communicate the schedule for Program Increments (PIs), and facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process, partnering closely with Product to align with the vision and roadmap through frequent backlog refinement.
    • Understand the product domain and all upstream/downstream dependencies.
    • Proactively identify impediments and appropriately resolve using a network of peers and formal channels, while preserving flexibility to rapidly respond to unexpected priority adjustments on the team and addressing repercussions of those changes quickly and transparently.
    • Implement and utilize agile metrics (velocity, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and work with teams to continuously improve. Generate reporting that provides appropriate visibility of those metrics to management and stakeholders while highlighting accomplishments, planned work, and issues across assigned teams.
    • Improve the flow of value by improving and assessing the practices associated with the SDLC, ensuring their teams maintain focus on Quality and Continuous Delivery.
    • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility, to efficiently achieve their Sprint goals.
    • Work closely with QA engineers to ensure necessary capacity is available to maintain quality standards and that code is exercised in an automated way that guarantees consistent quality.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
    • 5+ years' of experience as a Scrum Master
    • 5+ years' of Agile methodology management required
    • Advanced Agile Leadership Certification required (A-CSM, CSP, or PMI-ACP)
    • Track record of continued and recent education in Scrum and Agile, including Communities of Practice, conferences, classroom training and/or independent study.
    • Previous successful implementation of new Agile processes and associated organizational change management in teams with limited experience in Agile.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
