    Job Description

    We are looking for an ambitious, flexible, Accounting Administrator for a small, tightly knit construction management office. D&C is a general contractor performing a variety of infrastructure projects located throughout New England. This position works closely with the Accounting Manager to handle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and various other office tasks. The ideal candidate has an accounting background and experience with construction accounting - though candidates with a more general accounting background are highly encouraged to apply.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assists Accounting manager with bookkeeping and performs a diverse set of administrative tasks to keep the office organized and support ongoing operations and projects.

    • Organize and enter incoming invoices, billings, PCOs and other assets into SAGE 300 CRE.

      • Scan and digitally file documents in a multi-tiered SharePoint environment.

      • File, collate, rename, combine, and manage digital documents and assets on SharePoint/file server.

      • Provide assistance with receipt, digitization, and distribution of incoming postal mail and deliveries.

      • Assist with advanced document preparation for estimates and agency pre-qualifications.

      • Manage DOT/FMCSA recordkeeping and compliance activities.

      • Assist with OSHA compliance and workplace injury reporting.

      • Occasionally print, scan, and manage project drawings, specifications, and other documents.

      • Assist with incoming phone calls.

    • Provide general assistance with office upkeep and other tasks.

      • General familiarity with Office 365 with an emphasis on MS Excel.

      • Familiarity working with PDF documents and software.

      • Familiarity working with file servers and shared document environments.

      • Ability to perform tasks and deliver results both under direction and independently.

    • A general knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping fundamentals and best practices.

      • Attention to detail and an interest in improving and optimizing file systems and organizational criteria.

      • Willingness to run errands and occasionally pick up and deliver documents.
