    JOB TITLE: Payroll Coordinator

    LOCATION: Salinas, CA

    D&J PACKING, LLC is a well-established, harvesting company in the Salinas Valley. We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator to join our team. Under the direction of the Controller, the Payroll Coordinator will assist and support in the achievement of Company short and long-term goals and objectives.

    JOB TITLE: Payroll Coordinator

    LOCATION: SALINAS, CALIFORNIA

    SUPERVISOR: PAYROLL MANAGER

    DATE OF OPENING: IMMEDIATE

    STATUS: FULL TIME, HOURLY, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8 AM TO 5 PM UNLESS ADDITIONAL WORK IS ASSIGNED

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure accuracy of timesheets
    • Agricultural piece-rate and hourly payroll system experience and knowledge
    • Calculate, compute and code timesheets
    • Perform customer service duties: answer telephones; problem solves with employees; help foremen with questions and paperwork; assist visitors
    • Maintain employee files
    • Perform annual record retention review and help with year-end process
    • File documents
    • Act as interpreter
    • Register new hire employees
    • Revise/update hiring documents as needed
    • Set up new employee files
    • Prepare source data for computer entry
    • Review and code vendor invoices
    • Perform other related duties as required

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

    • 2 year’s work history
    • Strong verbal/written communication skills
    • Experience with Famous a plus
    • Knowledge of Farm Labor Crew data input
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office (excel use up to 90%).
    • Demonstrate initiative and willingness to help others
    • Ability to multitask
    • Ability to work under pressure
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Detail oriented
    • Self-motivated
    • Pleasant attitude, “team player”, professional demeanor
    • Must be bilingual (English – Spanish)
    • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
    • Ability to solve problems
    • Ability to grow with company

    EDUCATION

    High school diploma

    Valid CA Driver’s License
