We are looking for an experienced Database Developer to join our team.

Job Description & Requirements

· Implement scalable, highly available data architecture, including the deployment of technologies/concepts such as Service Broker, SQL replication, SQL clustering, Database mirroring, log shipping, data integration, ETL, Master Data Management, and Data Warehouses.

· Perform general database maintenance activities to include backup and recovery, capacity planning, and user account/access management.

· Install and manage database system software and perform release upgrades on multiple database platforms.

· Provide technical assistance to applications staff in the use of utilities, operating system, and tasks related to the DBMS.

· Establish and execute development standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure DBMS integrity.

· Generate and review statistical reports in the process of maintaining the DBMS.

· Provide trend analysis of problems and potential risks.

· Establish complete system and application back-up and audit procedures.

· Review and maintain back-up supporting system and application recovery.

· Evaluate design proposals to analyze and verify viability, efficiency, and accuracy of design to accomplish system requirements.

· Write and maintain DBMS related scripts.

· Manage all databases including architecture, design, scripting, implementation, maintenance, and administration.

· Participate in annual Disaster Recovery exercise. This involves planning, executing Disaster Recovery Plan, and fail over and fail back of databases using SQL Always ON.

· Perform installations, upgrades, and patching of Microsoft (MS) SQL, and other Microsoft-related products, and on SQL server systems.

· Perform capacity planning activities for database servers.

· Work to integrate MS SQL with Oracle

· Establish and perform migration of application software changes.

· Maintain required documentation pertaining to DBMS activities.

· Develop and document support strategies, troubleshooting guidelines, and escalation procedures, supporting Enterprise computing.

· Perform support cost analysis and seek lower cost support solutions.

· Manage the daily rotation and storage of back-up media and weekly full system backup to secure both data and programs.

· Maintain suitable service agreements with the hardware vendor or manufacturer that is necessary to support hardware failures and related troubleshooting activities.

· Migrate SQL server from one version to another version.

· Participate in the implementation of an integrated information security strategy and controls
