• Certified Teradata Master
• Experience with IRS or State Tax applications or experience as a tax accountant
• Needs to be able to work independently and not rely on State or other team members
• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with programmers, analysts, immediate supervisor, management, system users, operations, other State agencies and the private sector.
• Recognize, gather, correlate, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and devise solutions and alternatives and make appropriate recommendations.
• Working with the Data Modelers and developers, facilitate modification of the logical design to create a physical design most suited to the reporting needs of the customer.
• Experience with Data Cleansing
• Experience with Data Governance
• Experience with SAP Tax module
• Experience with ticket management systems such as TFS

Required Skills

• 3-5 years experience with Teradata V16/17 (tools and utilities)
• 3-5 years experience with Teradata Utilities (TPT, Mload, Fastload, BTEQ, etc.)
• 3-5 years experience in ETL using Teradata Utilities in a Unix/Linux environment
• 3-5 years experience with Teradata SQL Assistant
• 1+ years experience with Teradata Studio
• 3-5 years experience with performance tuning within a Teradata environment (SQL, Joins, Indexes, Viewpoint, Explains)
• 3-5 years experience SQL Skills that include working with joins, indexes, partitions at table level and performance tuning skillsets
• Experience with TASM
• DBA experience with knowledge on backup / restore functionality /incremental backups
• Experience working with end users/customers to understand system and business issues and perform technical analysis to develop solutions
• Experience with BI Query (or other BI) reporting tool along with basic modelling operations and maintenance issues
• Experience working with end users/customers to understand and develop requirements.
• Experience maintaining Dashboards and other basic reports related to data warehouse on a daily basis
• Experience maintaining user profiles and security skills that are related to the databases
