We are seeking an Associate Attorney to become a part of our team! You will represent clients in legal proceedings, draw up legal documents and advise clients on legal transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent clients in court or before government agencies
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on business and legal transactions
• Negotiate settlements for legal disputes
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

• Previous experience in law
• Familiarity with various legal documents
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

You will provide legal representation to clients before courts in all aspects of litigation, including the preparation of legal pleadings, motions, statements, trial briefs and be involved in negotiating settlements. Work closely with partner to ensure all appropriate claims and defenses are leveraged to reach positive outcomes. Prepare pleadings, discovery, necessary court documents and attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as necessary in assigned venues. No trial experience necessary. Obtain, review, propound and analyze written discovery and take depositions. Assess value of claims and risks of exposure. Communicating and collaborating with partner and legal support staff while maintaining excellent relationships with clients. The candidate must have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school, and have an active license to practice law in California. Comprehensive listening, verbal and written communication skills are essential. Benefits include expense (approved) account, parking, health insurance, and 401k plan.
