    DBI’s client, a very successful, established, and growing Landscape, Construction, and Management firm is looking for a talented Architectural Operations expert to join their office in Austin, Texas. Our client is recruiting for a skilled, passionate team member with a desire to work in an integrated environment focused on very high end, residential projects.

    The right candidate will be enthusiastic about the firm and adopt an owner’s mindset. They must understand the firm today and where it is going. The Architectural Operations Manager will be a leader in the firm, bringing a strong blend of resource management as well as collaboration with personnel and finance.

    Specific responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for hiring, staff evaluation, staff utilization, and overall resources management
    • Works with finance to develop and manage the budget
    • Provides revenue projections based on active and prospective billings
    • Identifies and implements methods of increasing billable hours and reducing costs
    • Directs project management and staffing activities
    • Ensures that project quality meets established standards, may be required to develop new process and work flows for the office
    • Works with the Managing Principal/Director to improve the quality of client services
    • Responsible for operational development and excellence, including elevation of business vision and strategy
    • Must be able to maintain professionalism amidst high-dollar and recognizable clients
    • Must be rooted in systems and process and needs to understand the data and analysis, performance, and operation metrics such systems produce
    • Stays abreast of current developments, trends and practices within the industry
    • Disseminates information, as appropriate, to staff and makes recommendations to management
    • Leading a staff and actively engaging to ensure client and studio needs are met
    • Provides guidance, leadership and coaching for all office employees

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate of an accredited school.
    • 10+ years organizationally support complex organizations
    • Extensive knowledge of financial management concepts and the budget process
    • Intermediate MS Office application skills with, Adobe Suite, AutoCAD and Revit a plus.
    • Familiar with the range of computerized information systems applicable to client services
    • Advanced presentation and graphic communication abilities
    • Proven ability to lead through a combination of direct authority and subject matter expertise
    • Ability to guide and supervise the work of others
    • Advanced supervisory, leadership and team building skills
    • Understand and successfully stay within the financial time allocations for assigned tasks using targeted time efficiency methods
