    DBI’s long term client in Seattle, Washington is growing into California. A critical part of that growth is talent at the Project Manager level. DBI is supporting that growth by recruiting a Project Manager to be based in Irvine, CA.

    This role will lead the entitlement and due diligence for multiple clients at one time. To do so the right candidate will drive jurisdictional project presentations, assist with business development efforts, and contribute, at a high level, to the strategic planning for new business. It will be critical that the candidate be self-directed, outgoing, and comfortable with business development.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee profitability of projects by ensuring successful project delivery
    • Have responsibility for delivery quality
    • Work with principals with budget development and project progress updates, maintain direct contact with clients
    • Must bring knowledge of contracts and expectations to the role
    • Lead the front-end entitlement & due diligence of projects as well as jurisdictional project presentations
    • Demonstrate confidence & competence, leading the client and project team through the development process
    • Assist with business development efforts, including initial fee proposal preparation through to contracted work
    • Contribute to strategic planning and set annual business development goals around new client acquisitions and expand client opportunities and relationships while establishing new relationships with prospective clients

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor or Master of Architecture OR 10+ years of experience, Architectural licensure preferred
    • 8+ years of architectural experience
    • Experience with managing project schedules, budgets and client communication
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit preferred
    • Ability to travel, up to 30% of the time
    • Proven ability to lead the client – client-facing
    • A persistent problem-solver with a value-added practice approach
    • Ability to serve as a positive influencer who inspires and motivates the team
    • Compelling business, management & design acumen
    • Portfolio of recent built work and projects.
    • An entrepreneurial mindset with an ability to generate new business
