DBI has been retained to find and hire a Market Lead for our client in Seattle, Washington.

This role will have complete oversight of the healthcare studio, responsible for establishing this new market, business development, operations, and strategy. Success will also be the ability to work across projects and clients, ensuring success for the studio.

Responsibilities:

• Oversight of the studio: people, process, management, etc.
• Will support the strategic planning of the studio, working with local resources as well as national connections with the firm
• Collaborates during the initial marketing stages through completion of construction, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, and delivery
• Through leadership and collaboration with the studio, this right candidate will lead all aspects including project work, developing design direction, and high-level feedback
• Will be the main client connection for the studio
• Mentorship and leadership of junior staff is critical to success in this role
• Operational leadership of the studio. Will work with office leadership to understand and relay firm initiatives and priorities
• Exercises skills of persuasion and negotiation on critical issues

Qualifications:

• Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, with license preferred
• 15+ years of experience with proven experience in a leadership role
• Must have significant experience in Healthcare and the Seattle market
• Able to demonstrate a successful background in leadership, business development, strategy, and operations
• Must be a team player with the ability to work with others in the office and the larger firm, developing strategies, problem-solving and helping the studio to grow
• Travel will be part of this role
