DBI’s new client in Austin, Texas is hiring a COO. This very successful Landscape, Construction, and Management firm is looking for a talented operation expert. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will work to create, implement and oversees the organization’s operations and procedures. This is the number two role in the firm. As such, the COO reports directly to the Owner. The main measurement of success for the COO will be their ability to building and establish process, work with the different business groups in the firm to foster communication and collaboration, develop and maintain a strategic process that works, and manage the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day leadership and management through creating consistency in the overall work process

• Responsible for operational development and excellence, including elevation of business vision and strategy

• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and public speaking skills, both practiced and impromptu

• Ability to comfortably and energetically present the company and its products publicly, be it with builders, key consultants, public relationships or others as needed

• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities

• World class customer service is a hallmark of this firm and will need to be the same for the COO candidate

• An understanding of the details, and their importance, but able to see above the details when needed

• Aptitude in sound decision-making and problem-solving

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development

• Must be able to maintain professionalism amidst high-dollar and recognizable clients

• Must be rooted in systems and process and needs to understand the data and analysis, performance, and operation metrics such systems produce

• The right candidate will bring high energy to the role combined with a humble, low-ego approach

• Very customer focused with an understanding how to meet the client’s needs but still surprise and delight with each solution and in every interaction
