    DBI is working with a robust and growing multidisciplinary Architecture and Engineering firm to fill a Healthcare Practice Leader role. Our client needs a candidate who can enhance the firm’s strategic leadership and who can consistently create world-class client experiences.

    The Director of Practice Development is responsible for developing a coordinated approach to practice leadership. In this role, the candidate will oversee the activities of the firm leadership for consistency in the areas of practice development, client experience and staff development.

    Responsibilities:

    Leadership

    • Leverage your broad knowledge and expertise as a leader to guide and empower others to lead, grow, and expand the markets

    • Ensure that all Practice Leaders have the knowledge and skills needed to develop business initiatives, effectively interview, negotiate, and close deals

    • Be a thought leader and subject matter expert and you will support and encourage the Practice Leaders to look for opportunities to share their expertise continually

    • Recognize cross-selling opportunities to meet business development objectives across all markets

    Management

    • Collaborate with the CEO and Team Leaders, as you build performance plans with the Practice Development Staff in line with firm standards

    Project Quality

    • Hold Practice Leaders accountable for team engagement, client experience, and project quality

    • Ensure the highest levels of client satisfaction and potential for future work are consistently met throughout the organization

    Financial

    • Will be responsible for supporting the development of annual sales/revenue goals for each market and ultimately the corporation

    • Oversee the Practice Leaders engage with the Team Leader and team members to keep the right balance between what is promised through the agreement and the expectations of the client

    Business Development/Marketing

    • Hold Practice Leaders accountable for meeting their Business Plan goals for their markets.

    • Collaborate with the Practice Development team and Marketing to strategically, efficiently, and effectively support client pitches, responses to requests for proposals (RFPs), regular client reporting surveys and presentations, from initial strategy through drafting, review, and production of deliverables.

    Required Background:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree, preferred

    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in professional services industry (planning or design preferred) including at least 5 years of experience in leading consultative professional engagements

    • Experience in leading a professional services practice with demonstrated growth

    • Background in working and leading colleagues and senior professionals, inspiring, mentoring, and partnering with them

    • Strong reputation within your area of expertise and the company

    • Knowledge and understanding of the business goals of the company and you can inspire people to exceed expectations toward a common goal.
