    Job Description

    I. JOB SUMMARY

     

    Provides timely and accurate claims administrative support while overseeing billing and records management of accounts for the 3rd party team.

    II. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Frequently "Mines" information from computer systems, reading confidential police reports
    • Conducting time-consuming searches in databases for information
    • Ensures and oversees documentation of all claims, billing forms and support documents for claims and payment on smaller projects
    • Acts as a liaison between the organization, its insurance provider, agents and claimants regarding the status and eligibility of coverage for all relevant claims
    • Ensures all claims eligible for payment conform to standards and specification
    • Prepares assigned claim records and files for audit and claims review
    • Submit all necessary information to insurance companies/vehicle owners for payment within time frame designated
    • Maintain 30,60,90 day letter mailings in timeframe required
    • Follow-up calls to insurance companies to expedite payments
    • Identify trends in denial and notify Claims Manager
    • Responsible for payment plans and entering daily payments
    • Match police reports to CAMS system
    • Follow up with internal teams to ensure all materials, images, receipts, etc. are attached to reports
    • Locate and notify delinquent accounts by mail and telephone to solicit payment
    • Identify and respond to requests for additional support with the company and externally
    • Comply with standards for timeliness of contact and follow-up
    • Generate monthly accident and injury reports for review with safety and business unit leaders, or as needed
    • Reports on the progress of all collection and claims activity
    • Suggests remedies for resolution of claims
    • Assists Claims Manager with miscellaneous tasks/projects as needed

    • CUSTOMER SERVICE MENTALITY: Responds promptly to customer needs; Solicits customer feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments; Manages difficult customer interactions; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Ability to address large and small groups to deliver information or conduct training.
    • TECHNICAL ABILITY AND ANALYSIS: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and On-Ramp, Genesis, or other asset management tracking software; Ability to blend strong technical skills with practical business intuition; Ability to identify and track costs in regard to penalties, and opportunities for efficiency and profit maximization; Identify positive and adverse trends in Project performance and communicate information to the Project Managers.

    IV: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
    • Experience with claims/insurance is a plus
    • Skills in the following are a plus; negotiating, problem-solving, and decision making

    V: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • 100% of the working environment will be conducted in an environmentally controlled office, using repetitive hand and head movements, continuously viewing technology monitors and physical documents. Will occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted while walking up and down stairs.
