Job Title: Senior Automotive lab Technician

Location: Detroit, MI

Job Description:

· We are looking for an engineer to work on electrical connections and connectors.

· The ideal candidate would have experience designing LV harnesses for automotive applications, LV connector selection to USCAR standards, HV harness design in automotive applications, HV connector selection, and HV bus bar design.

· 5+yrs relevant engineering experience in wiring harness design

· Experience with Teamcenter UA and NX is preferred.

· We are looking for a technician who can support engineering testing for research and development, or certification of vehicles and products, subsystems.

· The role is responsible for fabrication and maintenance of specialized wire harness, electrical assemblies and fixtures for mechatronics actuators.the role is responsible for collecting data using specialized equipement, control software and data equisition system.

· The role is responsible to support other engineers in diagnosis of unit test and complex experimental setup to ensure operational efficiency.

· Perform regular maintenance, replaces parts and request shop supplies. Support calibration and maintenance of test equipement for accuracy and ISO compliant.

· Document best practices for lab equipement and tasks and provide feedback to management of required trainings needed.

· 3 years of experience fabrication, instrumenting and maintaining specialized wire harnesses and assemblies and mechatronic actuators.

· 2 years of experience testing vehicles, mechatronic products, chassis components and material properties.
