Job Title: Testing & Certification Engineer
Location: Everett, WA – Onsite
Job Description:
· Support executing certification activities on the 777X-9 for Actuation group
· Knowledge on Aerospace Environmental Testing such as thermal testing, vibration test and others per RTCA DO-160/MIL-STD-810
· Experience working 14 CFR Part 25 and EASA CS-25 aspects
· General ability to lead a team to conduct a test, compilation of test sequence, monitor progress of the test and test parameters, and record test activities while being able to accommodate / troubleshoot / maintain any unforeseen events that occur during the test.
· Participate in test readiness reviews, safety reviews and data/control systems checkout to minimize risk
· Experience with regulatory agencies' procedures and process
· Knowledge of integration, verification and certification processes
· Knowledge of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and Airworthiness Directives (ADs)
· Experience working cross functionally
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Support development assurance requirements validation and verification activities along with critical system safety assessments.
· Work with suppliers to integrate product on to the airplane
· Coordinate internally to meet system and airplane requirements across multiple functions
· Assist in developing design solutions to support product improvements
· Assist with thrust reverser functional test development
· Engineer will have prior experience and knowledge with thrust reverser controls or similar actuation systems on an aircraft
· You will support the authoring of certification documents such as equipment qualification test, and certification test plans/reports/summaries, system safety assessments, and system description documentation
· Coordinates Thrust Reverser System work statement.
· Collaborates on certification of the thrust reverser systems
· Manages and prioritizes multiple tasks in support of certification schedules
· Communicates project status, risks, issues, and opportunities to program leadership
· This position is expected to be 100% onsite
