Job Title: Supply Chain / Supplier Development
Location: Windsor Locks, Connecticut – Onsite
Job Description:
· Work with suppliers’ internal teams to coordinate procurement and shipment of critical aerospace components
· Monitor and document issues and barriers faced in day-to-day operations. Communicate status reports to CLIENT and customer leadership.
· Actively drive supplier accountability and success towards hitting delivery promise dates Conduct supplier rate assessments.
· Conduct supplier performance assessments
· Track performance and improvement over time
· Identify supplier risks and help drive risk mitigation plans.
· Provide recommendations for supplier improvements.
· Be empowered to execute supplier operational improvement initiatives Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to current supply chain customer processes, tools, trainings, etc.
· Implement corrective action plans for any identified supplier process gaps Regularly present supplier performance progress, action items, challenges, risks, and progress to key internal and external stakeholders.
· Adhere to import, export, and procurement regulations
· This role may require visits to the supplier location.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelors degree a/o Associate’s degree and 4+ year(s) of relevant experience
· Aerospace industry experience
· Must be a U.S. Citizen
· Previous experience as a supply chain specialist.
· Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes.
· Working experience of relevant software (e.g. SAP).
· Strong communication skills.
· Excellent organizational and project management skills.
· Continuous improvement and creative problem-solving skills.
· A strategic and analytical mind.
Preferred Qualifications:
· An understanding of engineering outsourcing business practices
· Knowledge of supply chain management
· Experience in procurement and/or contract management
· Exposure to project or program management
