    Job Description:

    Our client is a worldwide leader in advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft, and is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technical Leader for Small Parts Machining and Tool Design. This role will be based in East Aurora, New York. As the Manufacturing Engineering Technical Leader, you will provide primary technical leadership for the Small Parts Machining and Tool Design operations. This leadership involves directing a team of six Manufacturing Engineers and coordinating their daily activities to support assigned shop areas. Additionally, you will be responsible for overall project tracking, metric adherence, skills gap identification, coaching, and mentoring within the team.

    Responsibilities:

    Provide technical leadership to the Manufacturing Engineering department.

    Serve as the technical focal point for Manufacturing Engineering on the manufacturing floor.

    Support process teams to ensure the success of structured work teams.

    Organize and operate within the matrix organization philosophy.

    Provide input on job selections, evaluations, performance appraisals, and training within the Manufacturing Engineering Department.

    Promote relationship-building between various teams and departments.

    Encourage the sharing of new concepts, ideas, and tooling across different departments.

    Control non-recurring costs and schedules to meet established objectives.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred, with 8 years of Manufacturing Engineering Experience.

    Knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes.

    Preferred experience in CNC programming.

    Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

    CNC programming experience
