Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE/OVERVIEW
The primary purpose of the position is to master the entry of cases in each of DDS Labs product groups. This role requires good comprehension and retention skills for various dental language, the ability to learn basic QC skills and good computer skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS
- Process prescription and product information for each product group and accurately enter into the Labs software system with the goal of processing all cases received in a day.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of all data entry work by reviewing all data and implementing checking mechanisms.
- Pull re-make case history and enter re-makes into the Labs software system. Following the DDS approved decision tree for charge/no charge procedures.
- Perform preliminary QC check on digital cases.
- Follow all scribed DDS policy and procedures for script management, in-house processing and out of production.
- Complete work with a quality focus and efficient manner.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Two years of data entry experience preferred
- Previous on-the-job experience using computers
QUALIFICATIONS (EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to catch on quickly and process daily required cases
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in dental products, dentures and crown & bridge.
- Ability to multi-task, use personal judgment and utilize strong decision-making skills
- Strong computer skills for typing and file management
- Works independently with little supervision
