Job Description
You get excited about connecting with people and building communities. An experienced influencer marketing professional, you’re ready to lead and execute Decathlon’s influencer marketing program and be an important part of sharing our brand story in the US. You’re data-driven and have experience sourcing and managing brand ambassadors and influencers in multi-faceted campaigns across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other relevant platforms.
You’re someone who shares our love of sports, the outdoors or just being active, and are ready to “hit the ground running” to make Decathlon more visible in the US market and proactively build our community through ambassadors and influencers. You’ll report to the Director of Communications and PR and work closely with the communications team in support of building Decathlon’s brand identity and awareness in the US market.
What you’ll do:
Lead Decathlon’s US-based influencer marketing and brand ambassador program, which includes setting measurable objectives, creating strategies, driving tactical execution and measuring ROI in support of increasing Decathlon’s brand awareness and growth in the US market
Build community around Decathlon, using a creative approach to connecting influencers and new communities to our brand
Strategically vet and identify new influencers/ambassadors across Decathlon’s wide range of sports who align with Decathlon’s brand DNA
Build, maintain, and grow mutually beneficial long-term relationships with both influencers and brand ambassadors, leveraging those relationships to support business objectives and commercial strategies
Identify and order gear for influencers and ambassadors
Ideate and help manage virtual (and eventually) in-person launch events and other activations with influencers
Track, monitor and provide analytical reports on influencer campaigns to ensure positive ROI
Work cross-functionally to support Decathlon’s influencer affiliate marketing program
In partnership with the legal team, negotiate and establish influencer and brand ambassador partnership agreements
Accurately maintain influencer/ambassador budget and manage any outside influencer marketing platforms
Collaborate with Social Media Marketing Manager as needed to provide compelling, influencer-led content that will engage our community across our brand’s communications channels
Qualifications
4+ years of influencer marketing experience, with preference for candidates with demonstrated success building programs with existing relationships with influencers and potential brand ambassadors
Strong experience analyzing data and using tools, including GA, to track and monitor campaign success
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and follow through
An eye for what type of content and partners will resonate with our community
A team player who can contribute to the broader communication team objectives
Additional Information
Preference for someone willing to be located in the Bay Area by the beginning of 2021, but as of August 2020, the Communications team is working remotely
