About the Role:

Mulch and Stone LLC is looking for a reliable and hardworking Large Body Dump Truck Delivery Driver to join our growing team in Springfield, VA! This is a great opportunity to get behind the wheel and play a key role in delivering quality landscaping materials to our valued customers — no CDL required! If you have the "GET IT DONE" ATTITUDE - WE WANT YOU!!!!

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a delivery truck to transport mulch, stone, and other landscaping materials to customer locations

Load and unload materials at job sites and customer properties

Plan and follow efficient delivery routes throughout the Northern Virginia and some areas of Maryland

Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries

Must be able to follow explicit instructions from Customers as well as trouble shoot when problems with delivery sites arise

Must have a working cell phone - you will be using this for clocking in and out as well as routes and instructions from customers and office

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure truck safety

Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork

Keep the truck clean, organized, and in good working condition

This position does not require a commercial driver's license (No CDL) but ****you must have experience with backing up in to tight spaces.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record — no CDL required but YOU MUST HAVE A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD!

Previous delivery driving or truck driving experience preferred - YOU MUST have experience backing up a large truck into small/tight areas

Ability to lift and handle heavy materials (mulch, stone, landscaping supplies) This isn't a daily occurence but there are instances where you may need to handle stone/mulch and or firewood

Punctual, dependable, and safety-conscious work ethic - MUST have dependable transportation and be dependable

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Familiarity with Northern Virginia area is a plus but not necessary as GPS directions will be used to navigate to suppliers and customers

Must be available Monday - Saturday from 6:30 am start time until all deliveries are completed as late as 7:30pm- time changes every day. During very busy season - you will be required to work Saturdays

Overtime is required during the "busy" season with Saturdays a must from March until end of May. Start time is ALWAYS 6:30 but END of day fluctuates every day with many factors affecting daily schedules for all drivers
