FULL TIME ADMISSIONS REPRESENTATIVE FOR DELTA COLLEGE - SLIDELL/COVINGTON, LA

Admissions Representative needed at Delta College in Slidell/Covington - Full-time position with benefits. Typically a 40 hour week, Monday – Friday.

The ideal candidate will provide positive assistance to prospective students searching for career training. A strong desire to make a difference in the lives of others and see them succeed as well as getting results & doing what is right by the prospective student is a MUST!

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

• Recruiting students into career training programs and scheduling campus visits by:      
  • Setting appointments with incoming prospects to visit the campus and learn more about the career programs offered.
  • Participating in school Career Day Events and College Nights.
  • Involves heavy phone work and follow-up, but no cold calling.
  •  Follow-up includes phones, email, texts, etc.
• Conducting face-to-face interviews on campus to assess the education needs, vocational ambitions, aptitudes and abilities of prospective students and help match prospects to career training.
• Helping the prospective student through the admissions requirements including necessary documentation to meet the demands of various regulatory entities.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in recruiting, college admissions, public relations, career counseling, intangible  sales, outside sales or customer service is strongly preferred.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must not be afraid of the phone and must enjoy working with people over the phone.
• Must be computer-literate, able to fully utilize and record all activity in CRM program. 
• The successful candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
