    Part time (two days a week) 

    DESCRIPTION  

    Qore Physical Therapy in American Fork is seeking a reliable, part-time Physical Therapy Aide who can work under the supervision of our physical therapist during patient treatments and ensure that all areas in the office are clean, properly stocked with supplies, and safe for treatment. In short, the Physical Therapy Aide's job description is essentially welcoming, comforting, assisting and preparing patients for their physical therapy appointments. In this part-time position, you will work two days per week and get paid a day rate (days are Tuesday and Thursday)  

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    An Aide at Qore Physical Therapy is responsible for greeting patients and escorting them to the treatment area. Next, the Aide positions the patient comfortably, and when applicable, may administer the ultrasound and apply any other various modalities, such as heat, ice, electrical stimulation, whirlpool, etc. 

    Under the strict supervision of the physical therapist and/or physical therapy assistant, the Aide will also help patients with prescribed exercises, and even alter or progress exercises — but again — only when directed by the physical therapist or assistant. The Aide will also ensure that all patient questions and concerns are directed to the physical therapist.  

    Our Physical Therapy Aide will also be responsible for preparing, cleaning and disinfecting patient treatment areas and surfaces between each appointment. In addition, the Aide will make sure that all equipment is cleaned and disinfected between patient use and stored properly. As part of this important role, the Aide will also be expected to report any damaged equipment to the office manager. In short, the Aide must make sure that the patient area is safe and free from hazards.  

    The Aide is also in charge of ensuring that all supplies are well stocked and informing the office manager when reordering is necessary. And of course, our office Aide must have excellent people skills, communication skills and be an exemplary team player! 

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    • At least a high school diploma or GED 

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred 

    • Previous experience working in a health care environment is a plus! 

    • Proficiency with office software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Express, etc. 

    • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills 

    • Must be an effective communicator, written and verbally, in-person and over the phone 

    • Must always be professional, caring and maintain an attention to detail 

    • Must have the ability to perform tasks that require physical strength
