Job Description
Derek Builders is looking to fill a full-time COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT COORDINATOR position in our North Phoenix office.
This position requires support of projects, billing, maintaining project folders, communication, documentation and works with teams to create and standardize processes to reach department goals. The Project Coordinator coordinates the flow of information amongst teams, external organizations and leadership as well as maintaining highly effective working relationships with other departments.
A successful candidate will be a team player, be able to manage shifting priorities and can work with individuals at various levels in the company. Expert level experience in SAGE for Construction/Real Estate and intermediate to expert level experience with REDTEAM is a must.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the timely/accurate execution of tasks assigned by Project Managers.
- Ensures that administrative processes for projects are run in compliance with the organization’s requirements.
- Provide administrative support to facilitate the planning and coordination of activities for a project, maintain files/documents and provide any information needed by the Project Managers.
- Manage and process subcontractor pay apps and client billings.
- Track contracts, COI’s, pre-lien notices, and lien waivers.
- Provide basic status reporting to the Project Managers and responds to requests for service/assistance/information to all internal/external customers.
- Prepare correspondence for signature as needed.
- Ensure proper data entry of information into Sage and RedTeam.
- Maintain records and entries in Sage and RedTeam for open jobs to ensure all required project documents exist.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Expert level experience of Sage is required, there will be no exceptions
- Intermediate to expert level experience of RedTeam
- Advanced knowledge in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe
- Experience with Office 365 Business apps a plus
- Experience with MS Project a plus
- Strong organizational and planning skills

EXPERIENCE
- Highschool diploma (Required)
- Construction Administration: Minimum 2 years (Preferred)
- Project Coordinator (Commercial Construction): Minimum 5 years (Required)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Professional: Minimum 2 years (Required)
