    About the Treasury Advisory Team

     

    The Hiring Company is a boutique-consulting company with a strong expertise in Treasury Advisory, which is currently the largest division of the group with our two product lines: Global Payment Strategy Product and Banking Relationship Management.

     

    The Global Payment Strategy and Banking Relationship Management product lines strive to serve our clients as the premier and only independent advisory service that can support and provide guidance to all aspects of the payments value chain and Cash Management.

     

    We deliver about 30 domestic and global engagements per year for Fortune 1000 companies, working very closely with Treasurers and CFOs to optimize their bank relationships, and review their cash management services and fees.

     

    We are looking for a project manager (Associate / Associate Director level) who could be a true “game changer”. The successful candidate must have a strong consulting mindset combined with excellent technical skills and client care. As a boutique firm consulting for the largest companies of the world, we are looking for independent and creative thinkers with a strong sense of entrepreneurship who also possess the rigor, organization, and self-discipline to carry out complex and innovative engagements for high-profile companies.

     

    Responsibilities & Activities

    As a project manager, you will manage multiple concurrent engagements (3-4 on average), for our two product lines Global Strategy Product and Banking Relationship Management, for both domestic and international clients, across diverse sectors, and will be supported by one or more Junior Consultants. As such, you will be responsible for managing your engagements from start to finish:

     

    • Critically audit and analyze our clients’ treasury organization, cash management services, process flows, vendor and bank relationships as well as their fees;
    • Perform the necessary numerical analyses;
    • Conduct interviews with key personnel to gain an in-depth understanding of client’s internal organization;
    • Advise clients on multiple aspects of their payment and banking relationships, in order to help identify, assess, manage, and measure potential optimization opportunities;
    • Manage a full-blown RFP involving multiple banks, providers and services;
    • Produce comprehensive and extensive analyses reports at each key milestone of the engagement;
    • Interface with banks, PSP, vendors and clients on a regular basis, in person and on the phone;
    • Strong presentation skills and effective written and verbal communication skills;
    • Demonstrate significant Microsoft Office capabilities in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word along with ability to master proprietary software applications.

      You will also work very closely with the coverage team and the marketing team to support business development:

    • Partner with Global Relationship Managers (GRM) in charge of business development
    • Research emerging banking trends and best practices in all of our fields of expertise;
    • Publish articles and marketing content.

      Experience Needed

    • Bachelor’s degree is a requirement, Master’s degree is preferred;
    •  Preferred fields of study: Accounting, Finance, Economics, or field of study requiring extensive experience in academic research;
    • (PREFERRED EXPERIENCE) 5-10 years of relevant experience within a merchant acquiring division of a bank, merchant processor or PSPs or Global Acquirers, gateway, global brands (Visa / MasterCard / American Express etc.), payments related fintech, or consultancy company;
    • OR 5-10 years of relevant experience within the corporate treasury department of a major bank or as part of the treasury team of a Fortune 1000 company or consultancy company;
    • Fluent in English for both writing and speaking;
    • Multilingual or bilingual in French, Spanish, and English is a plus;

     

     

    Location & Report

     

    The position is based in Downtown Houston, TX and includes occasional travel.

    You will report to the Head of Associates.
