    Salary Range: $50,000-$75,000 (Pay is based on candidate experience and the size of the book to be managed)

    Job Description

    Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

    Servicing/Retention:

    • Handle all requests from existing clients, including, but not limited to, amending coverage limits, vehicle changes, mortgagee changes, mailing address changes received via phone, mail, or electronically.
    • Follow up with all servicing requests to ensure proper completion. Document in agency the management system (Applied Epic).
    • Answer questions and explain coverages to policyholders.
    • Maintain contact information for active policyholders in Applied Epic.
    • Maintain management system with proper documentation of policies and activities.
    • Assist clients with processing payments.
    • Monitor policy renewals from expiration reports.
    • Notify clients of underwriting issues, cancellations, and non-renewals- assisting the client where possible.
    • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by agency with efficiency and quality.

     

    New Business:

    • Review accounts for the need for additional lines.
    • Actively seek referrals from existing client base.
    • Pre-qualify and analyze needs of prospects to either handle independently or turn over to a producer.
    • When handling independently:
      • Rate coverage with various sources, as available, to provide a competitive proposal.
      • Present offers to prospect using the most effective method to meet the needs of the client.
      • Prepare applications, supplemental forms, invoices, and all documents necessary to place coverage.
      • Submit required documents to carriers and maintain all communication and documents in agency management system.

     

    Personal/Organizational Development:

    • Set priorities and workflow to ensure timely, efficient, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
    • Continue to be informed on industry information, carrier updates and technology to improve knowledge and stay current.
    • Maintain good communication skills both verbal and written to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
    • Maintain current and proper insurance licensing.
    • Actively pursue expertise in the agency management system.

     

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    • Total Compensation: $50,000-$75,000

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • An active 2-20, 20-44 or 4-40 license
    • Current on all continuing education (CE) requirements to maintain license (ongoing)
    • 3+ years Personal Lines Account Management experience
    • PC proficiency, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
    • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

    • Knowledge of Applied Epic system is a plus.
