    Scheduled Work Hours: Normal business hours Monday-Friday Average 35 hours per week.

    Rate: $60 - $70/Hour


    Job Description/Justification:

    Asylum Seeker Operations HERRC IT Services and Support is needed to support ongoing IT, network, and site security technology and infrastructure. This role will maintain service quality, meet agency performance standards, and support ongoing mission-critical operations.

    The following services will be provided through this role:

    • Site tech-support

    o Any issues and concerns are currently addressed within 24 hrs.

    • Field Operations:

    o Break Fix (laptops, printers, badging solutions, etc)

    o Field Ops Support o Asset and Inventory Management

    o Hardware Support and Maintenance (imaging and updates)

    o All customer requests and incident response

    o VMS Management o Hardware Logistics from site-to-site support.

    • Logistics Support

    Technology procurement.

    SCOPE OF SERVICES

    The Desktop Support and Field Engineer will provide hands-on technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment across both office and field environments. This hybrid role combines traditional desktop support with field engineering, requiring strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a customer-service mindset. The ideal candidate is adaptable, solution-oriented, and thrives in dynamic environments.

    • Support HERRC Field Operations:

    o Provide IT Desktop support services to HERC Sites

    o Break Fix (laptops, printers, badging solutions, etc)

    o Field Ops Support o Asset and Inventory Management

    o Hardware Support and Maintenance (imaging and updates)

    o All customer requests and incident response

    o VMS Management

    • Equipment maintenance
    • Asset Inventory and warehouse support
    • Pickup and delivery of hardware

    MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.

    • 8 years of work experience providing IT and Desktop Support
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365, and standard business applications.
    • Experience with Active Directory, endpoint management, and ticketing systems.
    • Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in varied field environments.
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote or emergency sites as needed.

    DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

    • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
    • Comfortable working independently and in high-pressure scenarios.
