Job description Abria Detox is a private facility offering 24/7 detoxification and withdrawal management services. We specialize in treating individuals who have substance use as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. Our facility has 20 beds and serves both male and female patients aged 18 and older.
We are seeking Registered Nurses who are enthusiastic about the field of behavioral health to join our team.
Qualifications:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Minnesota with no disciplinary actions or restrictions.
Must be free of chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
Ability to successfully pass a background check conducted by the Department of Human Services.
Knowledge of addiction, co-occurring mental health disorders and the challenges associated with withdrawal symptoms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in detox, addiction, and/or behavioral health preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Certification in Addictions Nursing (CARN)
Duties/Responsibilities:
Complete nursing assessments upon admission and as clinically indicated.
Monitor clients for withdrawal symptoms, medical complications, and changes in condition.
Implement and monitor physician-ordered withdrawal protocols and medication regimens.
Safely administer medications and document client response.
Notify the Medical Director of significant changes, medical concerns, or emergencies.
Coordinate medical orders, hospital transfers, and continuity of care.
Develop and update individualized nursing plans of care.
Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
Provide client education related to withdrawal, medications, and health needs.
Support appropriate staffing levels and communicate admission capacity concerns.
Assure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
