    DEZ Development LLC, a leading real estate development company specializing in residential and multi-family construction, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our dynamic team. If you have a strong background in procurement, vendor management, and negotiation, and are looking for an exciting opportunity in the residential construction industry, this position is for you. As a Purchasing Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials and services for our construction projects. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies specifically tailored to residential construction projects, ensuring the timely availability of materials and services while achieving cost savings and maintaining quality standards. • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions specifically suited for residential construction needs. • Conduct market research and analysis specific to the residential construction industry to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products. • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to determine material and service requirements for residential projects, and ensure timely procurement and delivery to meet construction schedules. • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers specialized in residential construction, resolving any issues or disputes that may arise, and continuously monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to project requirements. • Oversee the purchasing team assigned to residential projects, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations specific to residential construction procurement. • Analyze purchasing data and generate reports to track expenses, monitor budget adherence, and identify opportunities for improvement within the residential construction context. Qualifications: • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the residential construction industry. • In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor evaluation specific to residential construction. • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable terms and conditions specifically tailored to residential construction projects. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders within the residential construction context. • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools specific to the residential construction industry. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail within the residential construction context. • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced residential construction environment. Compensation: $24 - $28 hourly
