Facility Maintenance Specialist Position
Summary:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role m
aintains and repairs buildings' plumbing, HVAC, air compressors, boilers, fire systems includingreplacing worn or defective parts. May test and chemically treat boilers, wells, chillers, and hot water systems. Perform inspections of fire and safety controls and systems. May also assist other trades supporting the manufacturing operations.
Position overview:
Monday thru Friday, 8 (7.5) hr. shift
Scheduled start times vary from 5:00 am to 11:00 am depending on crew schedule
Weekend work required on a fixed scheduled (typically every 4th weekend)
Holiday work required based on schedule
Overtime as required for coverage / projects / emergencies / as needed
Pay range is $29 to $33 per hour depending on skill set and experience.

Responsibilities:
Maintains, with the support of vendors, the facility infrastructure and manufacturing equipment.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs in response to facility and manufacturing equipment errors or failures.
May repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders or other machine shop equipment.
Support ongoing facility projects.
Qualifications:
Should have skill / experience in:
Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex equipment and machinery.
Ability to distinguish mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures from those which are electrical or electronic.
Ability to make precise adjustments for proper alignment and operation.
Ability / experience to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
General Education and Work Requirements:
Education Level Equivalent to high school.
Reasoning: Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
Language: Able to read and interpret work instructions. Read safety rules, instructions in the use and maintenance of shop tools and equipment and methods and procedures in mechanical drawing and layout work. Able to communicate effectively in writing using proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar, using all parts of speech.
Specific Vocational Prep Over 4 years up to and including 10 years.
Personal Protective Equipment must be used over 2/3 of the time.
