Location: Multiple MTF Sites Role Summary

Executes switch/router changes and VLAN management; performs cabling certification; assists with firewall/VPN/IDS tasks; uses enterprise tools to resolve incidents and support modernization deployments.

Required Skills

· Protocol proficiency: TCP/IP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP, Spanning Tree variants.

· Hands-on configuration of switches/routers and WAPs; VLAN creation and management.

· Cabling certification and drop testing; OTDR familiarity.

· SolarWinds, Ansible, and ARMIS experience for monitoring and diagnostics.

· Support of firewall/VPN/IDS implementations and change requests.

Certifications (Required)

· DoD 8140 – Network Operations Specialist (Intermediate level)

· Security+

· CCNA or equivalent

Experience

Bachelor’s and 3 years; OR technical training and 5 years of directly related experience.
