Client Summary: Provides computer systems maintenance and repair, server and software support, LAN/WAN operations, and telecom support for TRICARE Area Office – Europe and associated DHA sites.

Location: Sembach, Germany

Role Summary

Maintains servers, desktop images, and network devices; diagnoses hardware/software/firmware and network issues; manages routers, switches, hubs, and terminal servers; supports WAN connectivity (ISDN through T3 and E1–E3), satellite/microwave; provides end-user support and assists with RMF/STIG activities.

Required Skills

· Understanding of TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, HTTP/S, SMTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, EIGRP, OSPF, PPP, HDLC, V.35, RS-449.

· Experience with Ethernet/Fast/Gigabit Ethernet, FDDI, ATM, ISDN, microwave, and satellite communications.

· Proficiency with cabling testers and network sniffers; OTDR familiarity.

· Experience with Windows NT/2000, UNIX, OpenVMS; workstation standardization and imaging.

· WAN connectivity experience (ISDN to T3, E1–E3) and coordination with host network support staff.

Certifications (Required)

· Security+

· CCNA or equivalent (e.g., Brocade equivalent)

Experience

Bachelor’s or related technical training with 5 years of related experience and technical certification.

Clearance

Automated Data Processing (ADP) sensitivity level determination may be required.
