Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, toileting
• Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document any changes or concerns
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
• Provide companionship and engage individuals in meaningful activities
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for the individuals
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone

Skills:

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a similar caregiving role
• Knowledge of hospice care, assisted living, or related fields is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and other team members
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as necessary
• Basic first aid knowledge and the ability to respond calmly in emergency situations (We will train)
