About the Role:
Join Starwood Transport L.L.C. as a Dispatcher in Pasadena, TX, where you'll play a vital role in coordinating our logistics operations. We're looking for an enthusiastic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to our team's success.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely delivery of shipments.
Communicate effectively with drivers and clients to provide updates and resolve issues.
Utilize dispatch software to track vehicle locations and optimize routes.
Monitor driver performance and adherence to safety regulations.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading and unloading of cargo.
Assist in training new dispatch team members on procedures and protocols.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and vehicle maintenance.
Respond promptly to emergency situations and adjust schedules as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience in dispatch or logistics coordination preferred.
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Freight Forwarding or Dispatching
Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards.
Proficient in using dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications are a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
